Divine Moments Anthologies

If you’re a writer with a story to tell, consider submitting your work for inclusion in upcoming books in Grace Publishing’s award-winning Divine Moments anthology series.

Send your personal articles! The story is the important thing. The article length is anywhere from 500-2000 words. Previous books have even included poems and some pieces written by children, so the guidelines aren’t strict. The main point is the context of the story. (Take a look at previous Moments books that Grace Publishing has released, particularly the first one, Divine Moments for examples.)

Both multi-published and beginning or non-published authors write for the series. Stories may be original, or previously published if rights have been returned to you (as long as we are informed of the latter in advance). Grace Publishing retains rights after acceptance until publication, then rights automatically return to you.

Submissions should be Times New Roman, 12-point type, sent as a Microsoft Word attachment to an email. Subject line should include the title of the book. Please include in the header at the top of the article: your name, mailing address for the one free copy, your email address and the story’s word count. Also include with your submission a bio of 100-125 words. Each writer’s bio will appear in the “About the Author” section at the end of the book. Send to Terri Kalfas: terri[at]grace-publishing[dot]com.

Each book in the award-winning series is a labor of love, so no one is compensated monetarily. Authors share with the possibility of changing someone’s life, heart, or mind. However, each author whose work is selected to be published will receive a free copy of the book and a discount on any order they would like to place. All royalties from this series go to Samaritan’s Purse, an organization that helps victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through his son, Jesus Christ.

We Are Currently Accepting Submissions for the Following Titles for 2024

Unless otherwise noted, at this time deadlines are open. As deadlines are determined they will be added.

Lost Moments: These can be funny stories of just being “stupid” while others may be very serious like not trusting or believing God; may be the loss of a relationship, a friend, or loved one or may be humorous stories of losing one’s eyeglasses while they’re sitting on your head or losing one’s train of thought or someone’s name (serious or humorous). Deadline October 1, 2023.

Questionable Moments: Whether these stories are serious or funny, they should be the “What was I thinking?” type of story. They might even address whether the questionable behavior was redeemed or even redeemable, and why or why not.

Favorite Moments: Personal stories of times that bring a smile to your face whenever you think of them, and will make others smile, too.

Divine Detours: Stories that show how your personal plans/goals/actions were changed because of God’s movement in your life, the way you responded during the experience, and when or how you realized God was “behind” it.

Unexpected Kindness: These should be stories of a time in your life when you received unexpected or undeserved kindness/grace from others.

Patriotic Moments: These stories go beyond the typical school essays from childhood. They are stories of actions that exemplify true personal love and celebration of the U.S.

Hopeful Moments: These stories should be uplifting. They can include (but are not limited to) what hope and hopefulness means to you, seasons of hope you have experienced, and stories of times when all hope seemed lost until. . .
